Confucianism's major beliefs are the five virtues and the five relationships. Confucius taught five virtues that people should practice every day to live a healthy life. The five virtues are Li, Ren, Xin, Yi, and Xiao. The five principle relationships that most people are involved in, the first is usually superior to the second except for friends which are equal to each other. The five basic relationships are ruler-subject, parent-child, elder brother-younger brother, husband-wife, and friend-friend.
